As a trained dancer and certified Dance/Movement Therapist, Tara has used movement in therapeutic ways her entire career. Before discovering her love for yoga, Tara worked with children with developmental delays at The Center for Autism in Philadelphia, the William O’Connor Midwood School in Brooklyn, and various private clients in NYC. Though initially drawn to yoga for the physical aspect, she quickly realized the mental, emotional, and spiritual elements were what truly connected her to the practice. Tara loves to flow through movement and her classes reflect this, with a strong focus on core, alignment and strength, using breath to guide the body and steady the mind. As a therapist, she treasures the challenge of adapting to the various needs of her students and leads with an open heart and open mind. Each class is set to music and carries a message for cultivating positive energy both on the mat and in daily life. Tara earned her 200-HR yoga certification at Riverstone Yoga and is a certified Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga instructor. She resides in Tarrytown with her husband and three sons.
