Shannon started practicing yoga as a grad student to release stress. She was surprised about how quickly her mind and body were affected by the practice. As she started practicing daily she noticed a complete transformation in how she lived her life. She was encouraged as her practiced continued to grow and strengthen that she should do a yoga teacher training, if not to become a teacher, but for herself. She was surprised of the ease it was to stand in front a room and guide a class through the poses and following their breath. As a basics instructor, what she loves most is people coming to class to see what yoga is all about, and seeing people coming in with minds and hearts open to new ideas and learning more about themselves. Shannon creates a gentle, calm, and welcoming environment in her classes and guides her classes through a soothing yet vigorous practice.
