In Leslie’s yoga class students become familiar with their breath and feelings. They will primarily focus on breath awareness within yoga poses, games, and experimental movement. Students will investigate how their bodies move during postures, balancing, and coordinated group poses. Students will also begin to strengthen their mind-body connection through the physical practice, attention to breath, and restorative exercises. Our goal is that every student steps away from their mat stronger and happier.

Each kids’ yoga class are small groups to ensure an effective student to teacher ratio. Classes will also include a reflective email that provides resources and strategies to support and encourage yoga at home. Leslie plans each class with the specific student group in mind and will adjust the curriculum as needed.


Fall Workshops                                                                                   

Self-Love & Mala Bead Workshop for Kids  

Sun 9/10 1:30pm – 2:45pm

Come enjoy a nurturing practice that focuses on heart-opening and cultivating greater self-love. Students will participate in yoga asana and breath work grounded in the formation of our own mantras. Each student will also create their own mala bead necklace. This workshop is a great opportunity for children interested in taking some time and space to look within for their most authentic and true self. Ages 7-11

School Year Kick-Off! Yoga for Teens & Tweens

Sun 9/10 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Looking for an amazing way to unwind on a Sunday afternoon and prepare for your school week? 

Come join The Youth Yoga Lab for a School Year Kick-Off Yoga Class at Riverstone Yoga. During this class we will explore the basics of yoga and learn simple techniques for stress management. Class will end with a restorative practice leaving you ready to conquer your homework.

 All tweens and teens welcome.


Yoga + Hike!

Sat 9/30 9:30am – 11:30am

Start your day with yoga and a hike at Rockwood Preserve. We will begin with an invigorating yoga practice to get ourselves warmed-up. Leslie, creator of The Youth Yoga Lab, will then lead the group on a 2-3 mile hike. During the hike we will reflect on the beauty of our natural surroundings and enjoy a healthy snack. The morning will conclude with some relaxation and meditation. Perfect for every skill level and adults are welcome to join as well! (anyone under 12 must be accompanied by an adult)


$20 per person or $45 per family (up to 5 people)
