Yoga for Kids Summer Series!
Mondays, June 26 – July 31’st (NO CLASS July 3’rd)
Ages 3 – 5, 1-1:45pm
Ages 3 – 5, 2-2:45pm
Ages 6-9, 3:30 – 4:30pm
In kid’s classes students become familiar with their breath and feelings. They will primarily focus on breath awareness within yoga poses, games, and experimental movement. Students will investigate how their bodies move during postures, balancing, and coordinated group poses. Students will also begin to strengthen their mind-body connection through the physical practice, attention to breath, and restorative exercises. Our goal is that every student steps away from their mat stronger and happier.
Each kids’ yoga class are small groups to ensure an effective student to teacher ratio. Classes will also include a reflective email that provides resources and strategies to support and encourage yoga at home. Leslie plans each class with the specific student group in mind and will adjust the curriculum as needed.
Self-Love & Mala Bead Yoga Workshop for Teens
Thurs, June 29’th 4-5:30pm
Come enjoy a nurturing practice that focuses on heart-opening and cultivating greater self-love. Students will participate in yoga asana and breath work grounded in the formation of our own mantras. Each student will also create their own mala bead necklace. This workshop is a great opportunity for any teen interested in taking some time and space to look within for their most authentic and true self.
$30 per person
Restorative Yoga for Tweens/Teens with Lavender Scented Eye Pillows!
Tues, July 11’th, 7:30 – 8:45pm
This workshop is a great opportunity to enjoy a gentle yoga class and learn some basic restorative yoga postures. Restorative yoga is great way to calm the mind and body. Each student will have an opportunity to make their own lavender scented eye pillow and is guaranteed to leave feeling fabulous.
Yoga & Mindfulness Hike for Tweens/Teens
Saturday, July 1’st, 9:30am – 11:30am
Start your day with yoga and a hike at Rockwood Preserve. We will begin with an invigorating yoga practice to get ourselves warmed-up. Leslie, creator of The Youth Yoga Lab, will then lead the group on a 2-3 mile hike. During the hike we will reflect on the beauty of our natural surroundings and enjoy a healthy snack. The morning will conclude with some relaxation and meditation. Perfect for every skill level and adults are welcome to join as well!
$20 per person or $45 per family (up to 5 people)
