Jessica
More About Me

Jessica

Jessica
Jessica is a graduate of Kelly Morris' Conquering Lion Yoga teacher training in NYC. She began her journey when two herniated discs in her back prevented her from bending over to put her shoes on. She experimented for 30 straight days with a self-taught home practice and was hooked, healed and happy. Soon after, she met her first teacher, Antonia Gamboa Noonan who taught her how to see that "everything is perfect, just as it is right now". Inspired by Antonia's knowledge and gift for teaching, Jessica decided it was time to study the deeper teachings of yoga and thus enlisting herself into the Pride of Conquering Lion Yogis and has been a grateful student of Kelly Morris' ever since. Jessica's classes are open level and for all students. She teaches students how to breath effectively during vinyasa practice; to use the breath to guide movement and to explore different asanas and perspectives. Each class is an opporunity to be led by the purest intention of your heart to invite change and transformation into our practice and our lives.

Kat

Kat

Kat
Kat began her love affair with yoga in 2006 while working in Westchester County, NY. It was not love at first sight, more like an affair. Over time, Kat's fling with yoga evolved into a dedicated relationship. She learned how to really come in tune with her body, and suddenly yoga was no longer just a physical practice; it was mental as well. Once this mental aspect grew to become WAY more important than the physical, she wanted to spread this knowledge and started to encourage all around her to give it a try. In December 2014, Kat moved to Hawaii with plans on becoming a teacher in the yoga world, since she was making this big life change anyway. In hunt of her next "home" studio, she stumbled upon YOGA4EWA and knew she found a special place. It's here that she became enthralled with the Ashtanga practice. Kat received her 200hr Teacher Training certificate in 2015 under the guidance of Tasha Kauihou at YOGA4EWA in Ewa Beach, HI with an Ashtanga and Vinyasa emphasis. Kat continues to practice daily and would love to share with you the confidence, inspiration, peace, and joy yoga gives her mind, even if it's just for a little while. She enjoys teaching Power Vinyasa and Ashtanga-based Vinyasa Flows. Just move with your breath, do what you can, and remember... It's just yoga.

Shannon R.
More About Me

Shannon R.

Shannon R.
Shannon started practicing yoga as a grad student to release stress. She was surprised about how quickly her mind and body were affected by the practice. As she started practicing daily she noticed a complete transformation in how she lived her life. She was encouraged as her practiced continued to grow and strengthen that she should do a yoga teacher training, if not to become a teacher, but for herself. She was surprised of the ease it was to stand in front a room and guide a class through the poses and following their breath. As a basics instructor, what she loves most is people coming to class to see what yoga is all about, and seeing people coming in with minds and hearts open to new ideas and learning more about themselves. Shannon creates a gentle, calm, and welcoming environment in her classes and guides her classes through a soothing yet vigorous practice.

Tori
More About Me

Tori

Tori
Tori was immediately intrigued by the practice of yoga when she wandered into a crowded NYC studio about 15 years ago, however it wasn't until after the birth of her daughter quite some time later that her own practice really took hold. She started to notice subtle physical and spiritual changes and it became clear that life could be much more balanced when time was devoted to the mat. After experiencing firsthand how healing yoga can be Tori wanted to explore how she could share this with others. Tori has received training in teaching vinyasa, prenatal, and postnatal styles of yoga and she has recently completed coursework in teaching trauma informed yoga. Tori is passionate about creating community through the practice of yoga, and it is her hope that her students feel both encouraged and empowered on the mat to explore their own physical and spiritual growth. Tori is honored and humbled to do this work and it has been one of her greatest blessings to be able to bear witness to one's process on the mat. Tori holds a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling and she is a proud mama of 2.
