Sunrise Express

Start your mornings on a positive note! Breathe, sweat, and smile with our commuter friendly, 50 minute class. Make time for yourself before the demands of the day take hold. Class is held in our warm studio, but don’t worry, we have plenty of showers and lockers here for you. Whether you are an experienced yoga practitioner, or someone just looking to try something new, all levels are welcome. Please remember that you must pre-register by 6pm the night before. Class is in a warmed studio.

 

River Barre

Our RiverBARRE is a harmonious combination of yoga and barre movements that targets the muscles in the core, glutes and thighs in a way few others systems can achieve. We incorporate precise movements that sculpt and lengthen the muscles. With your newfound strength/flexibility/balance, your entire yoga practice will improve along your body – sculpting long, lean, strong muscles. Low impact use of weights helps to lengthen and strengthen arms for easier chaturangas and killer triceps. Classs is in a warmed studio.

 

Pilates Plus

Improve core strength, learn corrective exercises and maintain a healthy back. This class is designed for all fitness levels, through keen body awareness your spine aligns and overall posture improves. Move throughout your day with freedom and ease. This class is a great compliment to a regular yoga practice or other fitness training. Our supportive, expert level instructor will inspire you to get the most our class and connect your to yourself through breath and body.

 

Candlelight Yin & Restore

Relax, refresh & wind down with our Candlelight Yin and Restorative Yoga. Let go of the work week – unplug, disconnect and recharge. We start with small gentle movements to warm the body including a few yin poses (yin is where the postures are held to build heat which target the joints and connective tissues).From there we move into deep relaxation, through the use of comfortable bolsters, blankets and blocks you can settle in and settle down. You are guaranteed to leave class differently from how you started. This self care class is just what’s needed after a long work week.

 

Ballet Barre

Our dance inspired ballet barre workout will trim, tone and sculpt your body with the same exercises dancers use in their classes. We isolate, overload and stretch each muscle group, helping to sculpt muscles into long lean bodies. This class is set to energizing classical and contemporary music and will get started at the barre – just like a ballerina does. Non-slip socks are available at the studio and bring your yoga mat for floor exercises. Pre-Registration is required.

EASY/GENTLE CLASSES

Hot Basics

Unroll your yoga mat for an full-body beginner flow where you’ll explore the yoga postures and fundamental principles of Vinyasa and hot yoga. Our class is a foundation-building yoga class that will work every muscle through movement and breath at a moderate, but invigorating pace.

 

OPEN LEVEL

 

Hot 26 Express

Open-level Classic Hot 26, based on Bishnu Ghosh lineage is practiced in a heated room. It consists of 2 breathing exercises, each of 26 poses that incorporate balance, strength, and flexibility. Additional postures may be added which complement the classic 26. Class is one hour long.

 

Hot Blend

A blend of the classics: Hot 26 (Bikram – static postures) and Vinyasa Flow practiced in a heated room. Class may be set to music and appeals to anyone who appreciates a healthy sweat, working on challenging but attainable postures and flow. All levels welcome.  

 

Hot Core

This is an open level, Hot Yoga class with a concentration on core and power postures set to fun and motivating music. Postures may be held longer to build stamina, endurance and strength and class may offer students the option to incorporate light weights or resistance bands to increase the intensity. Deep, long stretches and a finale meditation and make this class complete nourishment for your mind, body & soul.

 

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED

Hot Flow I/II

Music, movement and yoga – it rocks, it’s hot and it flows. Each week you will be inspired with theme based music designed to exhale your stress away and guaranteed to lift your energy and mood.  Come together, get on your mat, let loose and flow as the music moves you. Transformation was never so easy and fun.

 

Hot Flow II/III

Step into this invigorating class, set to great music, challenging arm balances and intelligently crafted flow sequences. A must for anyone looking to advance their practice. But, don’t be afraid if you are not an advanced student, each class is uniquely crafted intelligently designed to warm you up and set the foundations for you to attempt and move toward a deeper understanding of the key pose of the day or flow sequence.  Anyone willing to try can achieve more than you would have imagined, safely and mindfully.  All will be inspired with theme based music designed to exhale your stress away and guaranteed to lift your energy and mood. Come together, get on your mat, let loose and flow as the music moves you. Transformation was never much fun.

Foundations (Iyengar- Inspired)

This class is designed for and to keep EVERY body moving. Learn how to make yoga work for you as we deconstruct and introduce you to you postures so that your feel comfortable and safe. Through the use of mindful modification/variations and props you will improve your strength, balance and flexibility. With detailed instruction and the alignment principles of Iyengar yoga you will receive all the benefits yoga has to offer no matter your age or physical condition. Our classes are designed around the use of blocks, chairs, bolsters and straps. Get moving, lift your mood, center yourself and create ease, grace and lasting change from the inside out.

 

Focus With-Yin

Take a journey and explore your inner landscape through meditation and yoga postures. Class starts with a restorative pose or two. Then, get into your body with yoga postures held for a longer time designed to increase your natural range of motion and remove physical and energetic blockages. Class ends with meditation where we practice withdrawing the senses allowing you to connect more deeply to our own inner consciousness and awakenings. Appropriate for all levels, this yoga and meditation will leave you feeling refreshed, renewed and restored.

 

Beginner Series

New to yoga? Want to learn? In this 4- week series you will learn the fundamentals of yoga. You will be provided with the tools you need to begin your yoga practice. Starting from the ground up, we will breakdown the most common poses. You’ll learn the names of the poses, proper alignment and some of the most common cues such as – “pull your naval into your spine.”Come learn why so many people are practicing yoga and how it can transform your life.

MODERATE LEVEL

 

Align & Flow I/II

This class is for those new to yoga or seasoned practitioners who would like to focus on breath, energy, and proper alignment. This class has elements of flow (movement with breath) to energize and yin yoga (poses held longer) allowing you to concentrate on inner alignment and sensations. You gain strength & flexibility without excess strain or stress. Slow down and allow your nervous system to relax, your muscles to become supple, and your breath to deepen.

 

Flow I/II

This classic Vinyasa (aka Flow) style class focuses on the very heart of yoga: the linking of body movement with breath. You will learn the essentials yoga postures, basic sequencing, proper alignment, and pranayama. If you are a beginner or would like to revisit the essence of your practice by re-learning the fundamentals of yoga, this class is for you.

 

Yoga for Sports Performance

“Up your game” with this yoga class designed for athletes. Because you are strong, your muscles are tighter, which makes it extra important to stretch the proper way to remain injury free. Repetitive motion is necessary to become good in your sport, but be aware that this causes imbalance in your body. Perhaps you already know you workout your lower body more than your upper, you use your right more than your left, or your right leg is definitely much tighter than your left. Yoga for Athletes is designed to re-balance all of this imbalance. As you breathe and bend through poses that might feel a little strange to you at first, you will find that this ancient restorative practice will leave your joints, ligaments and muscles feeling anew. Regardless of which team you root for or which sport you play, discover a cross-training secret so many pros already know and get ready to conquer your next challenge!

 

FLY (AKA AERIAL) YOGA

 

Teen Fly

Teens will love this super fun and playful introduction to Aerial Yoga! They will swing and hang from aerial hammocks, learn basic yoga fundamentals and get strong and flexible. They will safely test their boundaries as they cultivate self-awareness, spatial-awareness and self-esteem.

 

Fly

Beginning with strong core based postures and movements and ending with restorative inversions. Level of practice is based on participants.

 

Fly Fitness

Our aerial yoga FLY FITNESS class is designed to help you build your core, upper body, grip strength, balance and stamina. A terrific compliment to your pilates or yoga training, a bit of a boot camp workout but always with a watchful eye towards good form and alignment. You’ll leave feeling stretched, strong and ready to take on the weekend.

 

Intro to FLY (Aerial) Yoga

Our introduction to Aerial Yoga lets students get comfortable using the yoga hammock. You’ll learn the basics regarding grip, weight distribution as you gain confidence on how to get into poses safely. Time is taken so that you can build the trust needed to create roots for an aerial yoga practice. No prior Aerial experience necessary-this class is designed for all levels of fitness and flexibility. Class begins with centering, warm-up, posture focus, core and upper body work, intro to inversions and Savasana—all with the assistance of your swing.

NEW MOM & FAMILY YOGA

 

Mommy & Me

Supporting new mothers through yoga – one pose at a time and one breath at a time.

New mothers who are at least 6-8 weeks postpartum and babies 6 weeks to pre crawlers are welcome to this open level vinyasa class.Each class will include yoga asana designed to rejuvenate the body after childbirth, pranayama and meditation to help promote mindful parenting, and interactions with babies to promote the bonding experience. Babies will also benefit from the warm and nurturing environment of the yoga space. Tending to babies is a normal part of class. You are welcome to feed and diaper your little one as needed. Bring a blanket for baby. *Please speak with your doctor or midwife before beginning your postnatal practice.

 

Moms 2 B

Explore the practice of prenatal yoga in a warm, safe, and gentle environment where you will find support for your mind, body, and spirit during this unique time in your life. Connect with your unborn child, your body and breath, and a community of other expectant mothers. You will learn techniques, meditations, and exercises to support you physically, mentally, and spiritually during pregnancy, childbirth, and motherhood.

 

Family Yoga

This experience will bring calmness and connectedness to your entire family.  Private family sessions as well as 6-weeks series are offered.
